School Holidays
Declare and manage the complete holiday schedule for every academic calendar —
with list, calendar, kanban, and pivot views — keeping teachers, students and parents aligned year-round.
How School Holidays Works
The Holidays menu sits under the Configurations tab in the top navigation of the Education ERP. Teachers and administrators can declare the full list of school holidays for an academic calendar — including public holidays, vacation breaks, custom school closures, and more.
Each holiday record stores the holiday name, type, start date, end date, description, and the academic year it belongs to. The module supports four views — List, Calendar, Kanban, and Pivot — making it easy to review and share the schedule in whichever format suits your workflow.
Step-by-Step: Adding a School Holiday

Calendar & Pivot & Kanban Views
The Calendar View displays the full academic year across months — highlighted dates show exactly when each holiday falls, giving teachers and parents an instant visual overview.
The Pivot View summarises all holidays by type, showing counts for Custom Holidays, Public Holidays, and Vacation. You can export directly to a spreadsheet using the Insert in Spreadsheet button.
The Kanban View shows every holiday as a card with name, dates, and type — perfect for a quick visual scan of the entire holiday schedule.
Form View — Create & Edit Holidays
Opening any holiday record shows the full Form View. Each record stores the holiday name, type of holidays (e.g. Public Holidays), start date, end date, a detailed description, and the academic year.
The View Calendar smart button at the top of the form takes you directly to that holiday's date on the calendar view — making it easy to verify placement in the academic schedule.
Creating a new holiday is straightforward: press New, fill in the five fields, and save.
